"സ്ത്രീശക്തി "-Empowering Women

We organised a "Self Employment Program" specifically for a group of unemployed women, as part of the "SSR project”. Our main program was to provide training, in creative handicrafts fabrication with used & obsolete fabric. We were very particular in using old fabric as it would add to reusability  and cost effectiveness .We are happy to say that we've successfully completed our project. We’ve conducted it on 3rd November 2013.We chose a kudumbashree unit near Vallikavu and the response was tremendous. The next day we visited a few working mothers, and they taught us the art of knitting and a showed us around to some very interesting pieces of handicrafts they made, many of them shared their experiences in craft making and how much it helped them, through the trying times of their lives…
